All sporting bet types are set at a fixed price (fixed odds). All prices are quoted in Decimal, Fractional and/or American Odds; you may change the settings to suit your needs from the betting pages.
Win betting – is when you place a bet to win or finish first in an event.
Place betting – is when you place a bet to finish amongst the nominated placings in an event, usually 1st, 2nd, 3rd sometimes 4th and 5th. |

Head to Head / Moneyline
A straight two-way competition, usually without the draw being offered. If the event is drawn or otherwise tied the dead heat rule applies and bets are paid at half face value of the ticket.

Line / Spread
Each team receives a handicap of plus or minus points to reduce the game to an even competition. A team with a minus handicap must win the event by more than the handicap for your bet to win. A team with a plus handicap can win the game or must not lose the event by more than its handicap for your bet to win. Line handicaps usually contain a ½ point i.e. 4½ so that a drawn outcome is not possible.
Line betting can increase the odds of the favourite and can also provide an opportunity to win on the team that loses the game outright.

Buy Points - American Football & Basketball
Buy Points moves the spread (pointspread) so you give away fewer points with the favourite or get more points with the underdog. This bet type is available for American Football (pro and college) and Basketball (pro) only. To do this, you must pay an extra 10 cents per ½ point.
For NFL, there is no buying off 3 (from +3 to +3.5 or higher, or from -3 to -2.5 or lower) and there is no buying through three (from +2.5 to +3.5 or the reverse
-3.5 to -2.5).
Example:
Dallas Cowboys are 6 point underdogs. To move the line to +6.5 points, you would buy ½ point and pay extra 10 cents (now you lay $120 to win $100, whereas at +6 points you would have laid standard odds of $110 to win $100, or -110).

Totals
Totals or Game Total is the combined scores of both teams involved in a bet. You can bet whether the game will go "over" or "under" this figure.
Example:
Liverpool are playing Arsenal and the total posted for the game is 2.5:

If the final score is Liverpool 2, Arsenal 1, the total game score would be 3. Therefore if you bet over, you would win; if you bet under, you would lose.

Buffalo is playing New York and the total posted on the game is 38.

Margin
Known as Margin betting, this bet type allows you to select a margin of points a team can win by. A winning range is usually offered. i.e. Team A by 1 to 12 points, the winning margin must fall in this range for your bet to win. Unlike Head to Head and Line betting, a Draw is offered in margin betting.
Margin betting odds will be greater than that offered in Head to Head betting.

Decimal Odds - If you bet $10 on Germany to win the Soccer World Cup at $7.50 and Germany win your return would be $75.
American Odds - If you wager on Brazil and they win the Soccer World Cup you would lay $100 to win $500.

Asian Handicap Soccer
Asian Handicap betting offers value to the bettor by reducing the outcome of a Soccer match from the traditional three way ‘Home, Draw, Away’ style to an event with only two selections. The handicap is based upon the relative strengths of the two competing sides and is derived to give a roughly equal chance to both teams. The winning team is decided on the final score, after 90 minutes, (normal time), after taking the handicap into account.
There are 2 types of handicap:
• A single handicap
• A split handicap
Single Handicap:
Example One: France (- 0.5) @ $1.95 vs. Spain (+0.5) @ $1.95
Asian Handicap betting on the above France-Spain game provides just two possible outcomes, instead of three. In this case the handicap has France playing 'minus half a goal', or with Spain playing 'plus half a goal'. You can back either Spain with this start at @ $1.95 or France giving away this start @ $1.95. If you back Spain + 0.5, Spain must at least draw the match for you to win, as you are getting a half goal start. Conversely, if you back France at -0.5, France must win the match by at least a goal, as you are giving Spain a half goal start.
Example Two: $1.95 Argentina 0 France $1.95
If the two teams are evenly matched a 0 ball handicap would be offered. In this case you can bet on either team at $1.95 to win the match. If the match ends in a draw all bets are refunded.
Example Three: Argentina (-1) @ $1.95 vs. Germany (+1) @ $1.95
Argentina are giving away 1 goal to Germany. If you back Argentina at -1, Argentina must win the match by at least two goals for you to win your bet. This is because Argentina’s winning score needs to exceed Germany’s score by more than 1 goal. However, your bet will be refunded if Argentina beat Germany by only 1 goal. You will lose your wager if Argentina Draw or Lose the match. Conversely, if you back Germany at +1, you will win your wager if Germany Win or Draw the match. If Germany are beaten by only one goal, your wager will be refunded. You lose your wager if Germany lose the match by two or more goals.
Single Handicap:
Sometimes a split handicap is used to even up the contest. This occurs if a single handicap would still give one team substantially more than an even chance. Thus, the split handicap refines the contest as close as possible to an even chance for each team.
Example: Argentina (- 0.5, -1) @ $1.95 vs Germany (+ 0.5, +1) @ $1.95
With split handicap betting, you can imagine that your stake is being split equally between the two quoted handicaps.
For example, a stake of $100 on Argentina (-0.5,-1) means:
$50 of your stake will go on Argentina ‘minus half a goal’ and, the other $50 will go on Argentina 'minus one goal'.
You do not need to place the two $50 stakes separately. This will be automatically recognised by our system when you place your $100 stake. To work out your return, simply calculate the return from each of the two (imaginary) separate $50 bets. Each (imaginary) bet is calculated in the same manner as a single ball handicap. Thus, if Argentina win the match by one goal, the $50 stake at ‘minus half a goal’ is determined to be a winning bet, and the other half of the wager ($50 at ‘minus one goal’) is determined to be a refund. You will win on your full $100 stake (both $50 ‘imaginary’ bets) if Argentina win by 2 or more goals.
